We zoeken ervaren veredelaars die de veredelingsstrategie van een gewas kunnen opzetten en leiding kunnen geven aan een internationaal veredelingsteam. Daarnaast zoeken we ook ambitieuze jonge veredelaars die graag in de toekomst tot dit soort functies opgeleid willen worden. Afhankelijk van ervaring en interesse zal je je meer richten op het onderzoek binnen de veredeling of op de rasontwikkeling. Je start als trainee, prebreeder of breeder. Je wordt intensief begeleid door collega’s en je wordt sterk inhoudelijk betrokken bij het werk.

Praktische instelling
Je hebt een universitaire onderzoeksopleiding op het gebied van plantenwetenschappen afgerond. We zoeken zowel mensen die net afgestudeerd zijn, als kandidaten die gepromoveerd zijn of ruime werkervaring als veredelaar hebben. Je kan zowel zelfstandig als in teamverband werken en bent praktisch ingesteld. Je hebt uitstekende organisatorische, communicatieve en administratieve vaardigheden.

Ambitious Plant Breeders
Rijk Zwaan is a strongly growing organisation and is, therefore, always looking for ambitious plant breeders. We are looking for experienced plant breeders who can set up the breeding strategy of a crop and who are able to head an international plant breeding team. In addition, we are looking for ambitious young plant breeders who would like to be trained for this type of function in the future. Depending on experience and interest, you would either focus more on plant breeding research or on variety development. You start as a trainee, pre-breeder or breeder. You will have intensive guidance from colleagues and you are closely involved in the work.
